Can the misled lead and guide the misled effectivily?

i see this all the time!

people present their guesses into an unknown subject like god's mind and thoughts and plans as answers and truth.. but yet condemn others like the wt for doing it to them and label it "brainwashing" when they do it and it is brought out into the open for all to see.. problem is...when you present your guesses as answers..an answer is the end of a guess..and hinders others who trust you from searching further to find an answer..everyone loses that way and you actually "brainwash" others without really meaning to.

i propose an experiment..i have to work and take care of my short term needs right now..and cannot be on here 24/7 to catch these and expose them before they get out of hand...could i have some volenteers to help look for these guesses and remind others what they are...and we can see what the result is of looking out for one another like this.

I am all about finding and attacking "sources" of problems...fighting the "results" is a time consuming approach that does not yeild the results I am looking for...We need some answers...not guesses presented as answers.

I suspect this is a "source" of our many problems...and need some help finding out if I am right about it or not. That is a huge undertaking that I am not capable of doing by myself. I cannot really see it being "wrong" in any way either.(but again I cannot see into the future) Just a gut feeling at this point.

Also at this point what do we have to lose by trying something different in the quest for answers?

i've known two professional magicians in my lifetime.. one was a friend and the other was a very close friend.. both would discuss magic with me at different times.

each was devoted to protecting the secrecy necessary to maintain the brotherhood of illusion.. however, i am a curious person.

i am challenged by the unknown.

Are you stating as a fact we know what is good and evil is to God?

Or do you lean on other mens judgement to point it out for you? Think they know?

guesses....guesses...guesses.....come on now.

Keep it real...and stick with what you truly do know....don't pretend to know something you really don't...would you want someone to do that to you?

I don't think everyone does it on purpose..although I am sure some do. But I cannot read minds to know who is or who isn't...I would say the ones who get upset when their guess is exposed as such.I would find suspicious intentions lurking somewhere though.

Any one want to volenteer? (I may even learn to spell it correctly someday witha little help.)

My my...we seem to believe we have Satan figured out don't we? How does anyone really KNOW if He is "evil" to us or not? Do you even know him? If God considers him "evil" whatever His defintion of that word is...does that mean he is "evil" in our definition? Or do you consider yourself NOT "evil"..and able to judge him?

I wish people would research a little at least before they start throwing their guesses and theories around like they KNOW or something! Then they condemn the WT for doing the same thing to them!...try to stop being hypocritical ok. Present your guesses as questions....NOT answers. Answers are an end to a question..and stop people from searching for answers..when they accept your guess as an answer. NOT GOOD!

i have read several posts by posters who fervently hope jws will become a mainstream religion, or will become "the truth," or will stop teaching this doctrine, or tweak that one, and "oh, if they would only [fill in the blank].".

such dreaming will, in the end, come to naught.

there are practical reasons why.. (1) the rank and file have no authority over the governing body.. (2) the rank and file do not hold sway over any of the corporate interests.. (3) the vast majority of memorial partakers are not credible in the eyes of the governing body, nor do they have any authority over anything.. (4) the organization shows a willingness to publicly claim beliefs to which jehovah's witnesses do not actually subscribe in order to improve public image (see lisa's interview with j.r. brown), while retaining the same hard-line beliefs in reality.. (5) the governing body is unwilling to relinquish control over the organization, to share authority with underlings (e.g.

First I would have to ask how they could "reform"...are you emplying they might get a clue and come up with a real answer rather than many guesses they try to pass off as secret information from God only they are allowed to hear first. I am of the "guess" they are not guests in God's mind as they claim.

second....is this question a guess into the future? If so it needs to be presented as such. I wish I could see into the future...then I would never make a mistake or bad decision again. It is hard to judge what anyone is going to do in the future..judge correctly anyway.

I am not sure if this is a guess or not.....what do you think? Am I "wrong"?

lets say youre a jw married couple, get a divorce (unscriptural divorce, that is, so in jehovahs eyes you are still married), then both of you change your minds.

well, not completely.

you both realize the sex was great but your other needs and wants have changed in opposite directions.

Is it a safe bet ALL religion is men claiming to have secret information?

is this basically the the way the game is being played?

a man steps up and claims to have been given secret information from god..concerning his thoughts and wishes for us?

the man is then an authority over his less endowed brethern.

it just blows me away...how people latch on to others guesses and call them answers if it is what they want to hear or agree with.

Why even bother asking the question to begin with? Or is it a way to see how many are backing them and also holding their guess as an answer?

Bible Contradictions?

i was visited by jehovah's witnesses three times, and i decided to attend a meeting of theirs (which was this morning).

i had brought a page of questions because i was expecting more of a discussion.

this was not the case and i left after two hours.

How do you expect to get an answer from people who can only guess and wonder as yourself?

Or do you consider their guess you agree with an

What is your definition of an answer anyway?
